It's all over the news, commandos have stormed one of the ships of the "Freedom Flotilla" heading towards Gaza to break the siege on the city. 16 dead, more are wounded. BBC is saying that the crew had knives, yeah helicopter blowing, armor piercing knives.

It's actually a military massacre due to unarmed stance of ship crew. Knives weren't daggers or as say army knives. And of course stick weren't clubs. And now the IDF spokeswoman announced it was a organized terrorist team. But ten to fifteen dead surely is a sign of excessive use of violence by Israelis.
But i think it needs time to know what was all behind this operation because Israel isn't that naive to act without logic and foresee of political out come specially with it's important ally in region Turkey. Turkey made a strong statement alongside France and Spain i think and it's not good for a state which is known for killing 1500 people in Gaza not long ago.
But if it turns to be a JUST attack on a Humanitarian ship then i think Israel without support from US and IPEK would be in deep tide.

Gaza is under a blockade. It was Darwin Award-level stupidity for these people to think they could run the blockade.

That's not that main point Dhampy, the point is the Israel has committed a war crime, and nobody is lifting a finger.

No reason could justify coming on board with that firepower and doing what they did. This is -in the least- morally wrong. Plus, there was a force ready in Ashdod harbor to intercept the convoy once landed, why send a force (Let alone a commando trained force) into the sea and assault the ships, in close quarters? (if there was weapons on-board as they claim) it's tactically wrong.
