It might be too late for BP.

For those of you too lazy to look at it, basically there was a massive explosion of oil last night, and now BP is showing looped footage of the leak.

Speculation is that the seafloor has collapsed and oil is pouring into the Gulf much faster than before.

BP's executives need to be perp walked right into the closest Federal prison. 11 guys were vaporized before the oil started screwing the gulf. All of the BP jerks should be arrested on the spot, then shot.

It looks like BP doesn't stand a chance at this point. They're going bankrupt whether it's from the spill or people refusing to buy from them.

Well it took them 6 weeks to even start doing anything about it...

which is stupid.

Wow really?

They're still a multi-billion dollar organization that deals in oil. People aren't going to stop needing oil any time soon. And I doubt that mass boycotts will pop up either; I don't think most people care enough about the environment to sacrifice filling up their cars if a BP station is nearby.

QFT.

Here is a small list of items oil gets used for:

Gasoline (duh)
Diesel
Jet fuel
Every kind of plastic ever made (So think of the uses... televisions, cars, computers, homes, books, phones, games, electrical stuff, ect.)
ink
crayons
bubble gum
dishwashing liquids
deodorant
eyeglasses
CDs and DVDs
tires
ammonia
heart valves
hair care products

...and so on. The modern world is so completely running on oil, both figuratively and literally. BP will not die.
