I've always kind of liked Politics not to serious into it but enough. And do to a certain control freak I'm thinking about at-least educating my self above the average level, anyone recommend books and classes to take/read?

Do you have anything specific in mind? There's a lot to read when it comes to politics. You should probably start with reading about politics in your country.

Yeah just start with educating yourself about politics in your own country...Japan by the looks of it.

Its always a good idea to remember that there are usually two sides to any argument, and there are usually two main political "sides" if I may call them that.

So find out what they are and find out their criticisms on top of that to get a fair and balanced understanding.

Well your sitting on one of the biggest learning gold minds already... The Internet. Maybe start off by googling any political terms you may not understand.

The problem with recommending books is that pretty much 100% of books on the subject--especially those claiming to give overviews and starting points--espouse a single view and steer you towards it.

If you're just starting out, I'd say that you just should check out Politico.com. It's generally considered to be the most unbiased source of news and opinion. If you just want unfiltered news, the Drudge Report is a good newsfeed--although it does have a definite bias in its opinion pieces, it doesn't discriminate when it comes to AP feeds.

The flag doesn't matter much, I don't think. I have Swaziland because my appeal to include a flag for Zululand was denied. I'm actually in Wisconsin.

I know, I was just stating it because Darkish thought I was from Japan.
