I brought my Xbox Live enabled hard driver round to my friend's offline console, and it updated it. When I replaced their hard drive, all the Avatars had been replaced by black silhouettes. Apparently, they've had this problem before. Any help?

You could try recovering the accounts and see if that works

even though your on the hard drive a lot of information in stored in the console itself, you'll need to go in and re-download most things onto it again. so avatar stuff and game demos and things like wont be on there right now, but once you put it back on your regular xbox it'll all be the same as usual

I dont know either. It happens with the updates. It happened with me to and all I had to do was go into the avatar creator and it updated the silhouette
