I brought my Xbox Live enabled hard driver round to my friend's offline console, and it updated it. When I replaced their hard drive, all the Avatars had been replaced by black silhouettes. Apparently, they've had this problem before. Any help?
I just said it wasn't Live enabled. The accounts are accessible, but the Avatars are all silhouettes.
even though your on the hard drive a lot of information in stored in the console itself, you'll need to go in and re-download most things onto it again. so avatar stuff and game demos and things like wont be on there right now, but once you put it back on your regular xbox it'll all be the same as usual
Just have them go to the avatar creator and it should show their avatar and update the "black silhouette"
Nyeh, problem found.
'You must connect to XBOX LIVE for an update to access this feature'
I just don't understand why it would delete them in the first place..
I dont know either. It happens with the updates. It happened with me to and all I had to do was go into the avatar creator and it updated the silhouette
