Yeah it could of and probably was an assassination considering all the coincidences, but your also got to consider the possibility of it just being heated gun shells going off, I'm sure the Presidents security must of been packing something.

Rounds cooking off sound differently than rounds being fired. And those sound exactly like them being fired. When they're being fired at you.

I know what both sound like and honestly it was way to vague too tell the differences, not saying that heated bullets were the case but it is a possibility.

Regardless of that, if an illiterate shepherd in Serbia can fire one shot from a WWI rifle at an F-117 and knock it out of the sky, then most definitely an AK can bring down an airliner.
