Is it possible to install the retail version on Steam?

Or is the Steam version downloadable from Steam only?

As for any non steam program or game, you can add them to steam but its still retail and not steam version because you add a shortcut of the program/game to steam ''Library or My Games'' so you can play the game normally whilst you can chat on steam ingame! neato huh? aaand the answer for your questions: no and yes(in order)
