The trainer worked fine a week ago. Now when I start the game and activate the trainer, DEP closes ME2. And it isn't allowing me to add ME2 to the exception list. Can anybody help me with this?

I am having the same problem, but the trainer won't work at all now. F1 has no effect and the numpad buttons are still saying "on/off" but are not making any difference.

No joy even after reinstalling trainer and restarting the compter. Frustrating really as this trainer is much better than the cheats.

I suggest grabbing a good anti-virus scanner and running a full, comprehensive, whole-day-if-necessary scan. I suspect a virus infection.

There have been no Windows Updates or game updates that should cause DEP to suddenly hate your game.

    Thanks Matri.
I don't think its a DEP problem though. After deleting trainer and reinstalling, I get no dep messages at all, but the trainer just doesn't work.

When I first installed it though, it worked fine and every function of the trainer did what it said on the tin. DEP allowed it then ( my DEP is always turned off except for vital windows aspects ). Nothing has changed on my computer from then so I can't see why it allowed it and then suddenly decide to stop it working.

And it also stopped working right in the middle of the game. There I was, blasting some mechs with mega health, suddenly I was dead with no trainer.

Makes me think that there may be a time limit imposed somewhere as other posters talk about similar experiences.

No. I just tried it. I did a full all day scan. Nothing. And I can't turn off DEP for the game. I'm just gonna re-install the game. Delete everything except the saves. If that works, I'll inform.

You can completely turn of Data Execution Prevention with the following commands...

WARNING: This will leave you computer more vulnerable to malware that uses buffer overflow exploits. If you trust your anti-virus software and you're not an idiot with the internet, you can leave this off without too much worry. CHEAT HAPPENS DOES NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY IF THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS BREAK WINDOWS. YOU USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK!

To completely turn off Data Execution Prevention:

    1. Open command prompt with Administrator Privileges
    2. Type this command: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff
    3. You must restart your computer for changes to take effect.

To revert Data Execution Prevention back to it's original settings (default on for essential Windows Services/Programs):

    1. Open command prompt with Administrator Privileges
    2. Type this command: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx OptIn
    3. You must restart your computer for changes to take effect.

Ok, I did it. The trainer works fine without the DLC. But once I install it, the game crashes once the trainer is activated.

Many thanks Mr Moderator. I assumed your above command was to turn off DEP but instead it deleted a sys32/atapi file which windows needs to boot up.

I spent many hours trying to get my boot up disc to repair the missing file but to no avail. This led to a reload of vista and a loss of much material which I was going to back up at my next diary reminder.

I don't think I'll be visiting this site in the near future.
