i always thought it would be a area bombardment weapon that would start it besides we don't need anymore weapons on the ground or in the sky but something we cant see should make me trust the US more than the trust i have for it now.

Just because it's funded by the DoD doesn't mean it's a weapons system, dude.
The Space Shuttle was originally a DoD project.
It'll be transferred to NASA when it leaves the experimentation phase.

The article talks about maneuverable satellites, that sounds a lot more likely than an actual military space-bomber. The Predator UAVs already fly way too high to be seen by the enemy, have cameras good enough to see someones face and follow them, and they even carry weapons payloads.
But if they integrate spy satellites into the X-37B they can watch who they want, where they want, when they want. No more waiting for a satellite flyby and no chance for the enemy to cover everything up according to predictable satellite flyby schedules.
