If you like Galactic Civilizations, you will *definitely* enjoy this game.

personally I enjoy Galactic Civilizations more than this. But thats my own opinion, theres alot more management required w/ galactic civilizations but once you get into the hang of it its a wonderful game with A LOT of freedom (everything from designing an entire race and their ship styles from scratch and more) plus theres a decent modding community. Frankly I'd say buy it instead but to each their own

I loved Imperium Galactica which started me off with 4x games. There was something before that though but wasn't a huge game and was on the Amiga.

Forgot the name, but you start on Earth and you researched etc, and got to colonise Io and Titan etc, but never Mars something always bad happened. And basically it was a race against the clock eventually you find stuff on Mars and within a few game years they invade you :P

Big massive red blobs on the radar, so hopefully by that time you had good fleets and defences to either survive or lose.

Only ever survived once >.< Wish I could remember the name
