Renown takes forever to build up in this game. There should really be a trainer option for it.

You just have to make camp and enter the CHEAT MENU.

If you're using the trainer to its full extent(God mode and what not), then it should not be a problem getting renown.

Do tournaments, battle lords with over-sized parties(150 men to your 50 men). Capture castles, villages and towns. Defend your fiefs(AKA estates). Attack bandits, or any other rogue party who(if you are not at war) is not aligned to another faction.

That's pretty cool. Shame there isn't a way to instantly become the king/queen of your faction. I've found out how to cheat my way to Marshal though which is sort of like being head vassal I guess. For some reason I'm even able to boss the King around although I am still below King status.

I really wish someone would mod or find a way to be able to kill off enemy lords and ladies. It would be cool to sentence them to death. Decapitations, burning at the stake, hangings, and publicly humiliating stockades for townsmen and women to throw fruit at them!

The second part (about killing off lords) has caused immense amounts of debate over at the taleworlds forums. Half the people want to be able to slaughter their prisoners, while the other half says it would be stupid because the AI has no way to get new lords. Thus while you are hiring companions and making them into lords, the AI is constantly losing lords with no way to get them back.

All the fixes to this have some serious drawbacks, such as the AI getting new lords overtime. If the AI gets new lords, what happens when you decide to start a new kingdom after awhile of being a vassal? The AI has a vast horde and you are screwed. An alternative would be that the AI is allowed to execute lords they capture, but then what happens if you get captured? Then you get killed.

As for the first part about taking over as king, just use the character import to set your persuasion to like 1000 and then draft a bunch of AI lords. Then use the dev cheats to instantly take over any castles/towns that you want in your new kingdom and distribute them to your lords. Ta Da, instant kingdom.
