Well I would choose Totodile, since it is a water Pokemon and is not extremely weak against Leaf Pokemon (As compared to Leaf against Fire and Fire against Water).

Well Blaziken would lose horribly against Feraligator (If I spelled both of them correct). And so will Meganium against Blaziken. So the easy choice is Totodile, as it would have a fighting chance against Meganium.

You're thinking of Typhlosion, Honestgamer. And your logic makes little sense. They all counter each other. Fire is effective against grass, grass is effective against water, and water is effective against fire.

well if it was pikachu against charizard and blastoise he would pwn both lol
I dislike the 4th generations decision to make the starters double types. I believe it hurts them more than it helps. Out of all the starters, Squirtle is my favorite. In fact, he's my favorite Pokemon period. Cydiquil is my second favorite starter, so I chose him.

Thanks for correcting me, Typhlosion indeed.
I have played some these Pokemon games, Grass Pokemon are insensitive to some Water Pokemon attacks, but they always don't do great damage to the Water Pokemon. And this out of my experience in the games.
