My USB Mass Storage Device has a trojan in it and it made the flash drive write-protected, so I can't delete the trojan with the anti-virus and I can't put any file on my flash drive and I can't format it, so what should I do???

1. How do you know its a trojan?

2. For that to happen, it would have to write onto the ROM.


So to summarise, I believe there is nothing wrong with your USB device, but more like a virus is on your PC.

Have you tried to use the device on another machine? If its a simple pen drive, use a PS3 or something also and wipe it from that.

Because Kaspersky shows that my flash memory has a trojan. And no, there's nothing wrong with my USB device, I'm sure.

So your saying that you have a problem with your flash drive but there is nothing wrong with your flash drive.

You may want to clarify what the problem is.

The USB device would be your USB storage Device, not the connector on your motherboard/front of case.

Exactly why I said that he needs to clarify his problem. Im not really sure how to help him when I dont know exactly what the problem is.
