which version do you have pwiz, when we launch the game, it downloads patch 1.02, you can choose whether or not to install it, and i havnt for now. My version of the game DID NOT install via steam, it is standalone and launches via ubisoft's DRM system. If yours is steam, maybe they will update shortly.
Yesterday as soon as I started the game, just as others said, it downloaded the patch and offered to install or not to install. I also selected to not install and the original trainer works fine. But it sounds like, unless you have the steam version, this should have happened.
I noted on a forum or two those WITH the steam version had to go into steam and select update for the game and this forced it to update to 1.02.
There is also a thread on the Ubi Settlers forums stating there is an official 1.02 patch.
