METRO 2033 Message Board  

Ok ive red the part that mentions trainers creating false trojan warnings so i ignored anything that popped up yet for some reason i try to access the file and windows comes up with its own message
"windows cannot access the specified device, path or file
you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"

Ive never seen this message before with any other trainer and i was useing the metro2033 trainer just last week and had no issues.

what would cause the file to be inaccessible?
no settings have been changed on my computer to make me not have permissions to access files.

If your antivirus is on it may block the access. Try to disable it and see what's going on. Also try to log-in as admin.

I have told my anti-virus to exclude the file so now it aint popping up with its warnings.. I am the admin/main user for this computer..
All good though.. done a good old Google search and found a solution to the problem.. apparently i had to "claim ownership" to the file so i could access it.. weird how ive never ever seen a problem like that before.

I have ownership and still have this error. This the first trainer i have ever had issues with. Can somebody look into this problem Thanks

Hey can u tell me what you did, i got the same problem with the windows stopping me from using the trainer.

send it to kaspersky lab needless to say its a false positive.
will be fixed with next virus definitions.
