Hey, I heard that this game was pretty much exactly the same as Empire, just with different units and slightly different campaigns. is this true? I'm considering buying it if it's different cause I'm a big fan of the TW series, but I see no point in buying a clone.
Thanks in advance

It's been awhile since I played ETW. Started playing NTW a week ago. I wouldn't call it a clone but it plays just like ETW in both the land and sea battles(which are cool). If you don't think playing as or fighting against the French during that time period would be fun, based on your post you might not be happy.

I was looking for maybe a new engine and new game mechanics, but it seems more like an expansion pack priced like a brand new game. Thanks for the info Kane1 :]
