when i go to a championship and i fail i go back to my bedroom and go to bed again so i can repeat the championship but when i check my horses after succeedindg in the show their health, cleanliness, and morale are all the way down. why are my horses deteriorating so drastically when i go to the championships?

When you go the championships your horse gets dirty, just like it does when you go out adventuring. I've gone through the same problem the only thing is, is that you HAVE to groom your horse everyday!

because you work them hard. work them lightly after shows. don't forget to reshoe the horse

when you fail and go back to your bedroom, you must go groom and care for your horses BEFORE you go back to bed. This is because it is a different day, and you must care for them daily.
