i enable the trainer at main menu like always, go ingame and push the number pad 1. it sets my money to 99999. however i think its only a visual boost in numbers. because i wasnt able to build anything that cost more than i had before i put the cheat in (i built a bunch of towers before i used the cheat. so i was broke)
did i do something wrong?

Yes It only increases gold in visually but doesn't increases actual value.

Use the "Building Funds" option to get huge amounts of gold (Real value), and not the "Increased Treasury" option.

This is because of the game engine, and not the Trainer. PWizard notified us about this issue long ago on the Majesty 2 board.
