The one thing that I didn't like in this game (which, incidentally, most of you seem to like) is the defending missions, where you defend the conquered territories from orks/tyranids/etc, etc... I do a side mission or two, and as I'm about to go on with the main mission, some other faction attacks me, forcing me to re-deploy to some other map & defend again... Can't I turn this off in anyway? I find this so annoying that I quit playing the game halfway...
The same thing happened with DoW: Soulstorm too... Ended up quitting the game midway. Please let me know if there's any way to turn this off... I want to buy Chaos Rising, but don't want to waste my money on it if I can't disable this annoying issue, thus not finishing the game (again)

There is no way to turn them off but if you take out Avatar of Khaine for Eldar, and finished the 'Raid against Warboss' then attack from Eldar and Orks will eventually stop.
Tyranids however, there is no way.
