OK I have played all the way thru this game using the first trainer except for the last 15% or so when I used the 1st trainer for the update (no more options but health worked). Now I am about 1/4 way thru Metro again this time using the 2nd iteration of the increased option trainer. Issues have surfaced across all the trainers that gamers need to be aware of if they don't wanna tear their hair out in frustration.
Firstly the 'NO RELOAD' option that works for weapons in slot 2 and 3 but makes weapons in slot 4 (shotguns and some airguns) impossible to use. Some slot 4 guns won't fire at all with 'NO RELOAD' activated (home made shotguns), the semi-auto shotguns will let you fire off two rounds then get stuck in a weird reload loop that doesn't ever complete the only way through is to change to slot 2 or 3.
This can really be a drag cause the game bug which prevents you from loading up on a powerful 'bastard' MG at the start combined with the issues with 'NO RELOAD' mean that for the first couple chapters the slot 2 revolver is the best option the MG that is issued outta the armory is useless, it couldn't stop a charging chihuahua. The revolver with 'NO RELOAD' activated works well tho, but it can get tight in some situations so upgrade to the long barrel version at 1st opportunity it is deadly accurate at range, and stops most things with a single headshot.
Activating the 'EASY KILLS' function to give the MG a chance is not recommended. In fact 'EASY KILLS' should only be used when you don't have a partner to look out for and aren't wearing a gasmask. For this option not only reduces the initial strength of enemy it reduced the health/strength of all NPC's. Activate it and you will find it nearly impossible to keep a partner alive and any squads scenes likely to end badly very quickly.
You need to be careful when alone as well because the gas mask glass is reduced to the strength of an eggshell with 'EASY KILLS' on. One swipe from a nogalis will out a huge crack in it, the second will smash it to smithereens leaving you gasping for air. Changing gasmasks with 'EASY KILLS' on also seems to be a non starter. I had to switch the option off before the game would recognise that my mask was damaged and swap it out.
I'm writing this so others will be able to get the best out of the trainer and in case the self appointed 'cheat happens fan club' decides to get on their high horse and allege I am either incompetent for needing a trainer or ungrateful for pointing out the trainers shortcomings, maybe they should ask themselves if their hectoring is helping or hindering the trainer makers to make their trainers as good as they can. I mean no disrespect to anyone by this post but also believe that CH customers should be able to openly discuss all facets of the trainers operation.
I had hoped that these issues would have been fixed by now but few customers come forward when other CH users attack them or maybe these issues are just not fixable, in which case it would be useful to say so.
I am more than happy to post a game save if needed, altho these problems seem universal with this trainer and this game.
It would be helpful if savegames could be provided so we can easily try and replicate these issues. We are working on no fewer than 5-10 games at any given time and cannot play each of them for very long in order to keep up with the demands of people wanting trainers no fewer than 10 minutes after a game or patch is released (or actually BEFORE a game is released here lately). We appreciate your comments and feedback, just understand that we can't play through every game trying each individual option with every single weapon or combination of weapons and ammo.

There's a unlocker on gamecopyworld that should give access to all the game chapters and individual levels, though as I am only starting with the game (unlocked yesterday on Steam for us in the EU.) I don't know which chapters are best to use to test this.
I did notice the shotgun bug and the game issue where you are supposed to hit the armory first and then purchase any additional supplies but that's a game "bug" (Script error I think.) as you aren't meant to have that much pristine ammo to trade with at the start. (Shotguns aren't much of a problem as I rely on SMG's mainly but it would be nice to have them working, I guess the game treats them differently somehow.)
Just at the start there's a open outdoors section where the gasmask issue can be tested though it's quite limited and short so that might not be very useful.
Also the lines "g_global_god off" "g_god off" "g_unlimitedammo off" from the default user.cfg file can apparently be altered and added to the user.cfg file the game creates, default file isn't working but the user file might at the "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033" might work better but it has to be set to read only as the game will overwrite most options otherwise. (Changing them in the default user.cfg file won't work from what I've read.)
Global god might not be that useful if it godmods everything, if it's just you and team members it might be quite effective, unlimited ammo and normal godmode should be quite useful however. (You probably still have to reload and scripted deaths might still kill like running out of fresh air or falling into a instant death place or similar.)
That's not a reload, it's explained when you get it that it regularly overheats so it's pretty bad but you can still shoot all you want with it but it periodically needs to be cooled down. (Pulls that spring at the back of the weapon, reloading is the removal of the actual magazine at the side.)
You'll get a AK to replace it after a while but until then use a modded revolver or other weapons or fire in short bursts with it as you said.
EDIT: Might be misunderstood perhaps but for gasmasks you have filters that are changed by pressing G and that run out after about 15 minutes and then you have the actual gasmask that can be damaged (The visor cracks.) and have to be replaced, you can buy filters but gasmasks have to be found, just hold "use" over a valid (non-damaged.) one and it should initiate a swap.

EDIT: Perhaps related to the item equipment "bug" if you purchase items before acquiring the initial ones from the armory or the 1-hit kill option that damamges the gasmask directly if you get hit but the game doesn't recognize it as damaged enough for it to be swapped.
thank you for your post philsin, although i detect a little bit of sarcasm in it.
1) i have seen NO OTHER TRAINER (and i tested as many as i could find) that DOES NOT HAVE THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS (i.e. all trainers i have seen have the same problems below)
shotgun reload problem if no-reload option is activated easy kills also kills friendlies easy kills option destroys your gasmask if you are hit
2) i DID update our trainer to improve it (improvements listed below)
easy kills does not hurt your gasmask
most, if not all, of your friendlies should be protected. i will DEFINITELY need savegames if people report this is not working properly. I tested it in both of the first two chapters with no deaths of friendlies (i.e. BOURBON, etc.)
gas mask is indestructable if you turn on gas mask option OR enable easy kills
gas mask option DEFINITELY gives you unlimited use (i.e. your gas mask filter works forever and never need to swap masks, etc.)
3) i worked for some hours on the shotgun no-reload to no avail. i need more time to address that situation but for now if you plan on using ANY of the weapons that might be affected, then I suggest using unlimited ammo and NOT use NO-RELOAD option.
4) our trainer is the ONLY trainer i have seen that addresses these problems.
