Seriously, college is easier than that crap. You North Americans really need to (re-?)introduce grade 13.
What are you talking about?
When you go to a good college, you (amongst many) are going to find it a real shock to the senses. Most people go to uni at 17... I went at 18 and it didn't scare me. The only thing scary about it was that I was on a new country, new continent and everything was different. Work-wise, it's easier than my high school.
The extra year really makes a difference. It gives you time to mature and develop as a person. So many people were shocked at the diversity here at Waterloo, since they were born and raised in "little white towns" across Canada.
