Well I thought Assassins Creed 1 was very good, Facinating story line, awesome combat system, spectacular climbing system. The only problem with this game was that it became boring after doing 3 to 4 assassinations.

Assassins Creed 2 on the other hand. Its pretty much the same as above. But this time there are more then enough thing implanted in the game that its impossible to get boring. Getting new equipment, building your own little city/town, hunting more types of treasures and so on.

And then there is this little gift from heaven, the third piece of Eden, DRM! Damn, I am almost thinking this protection is solid proof.

I am giving this game a perfect 10, cant wait to get Assassins Creed 3 in my hands ^^

This game is good on xbox, not so much on PC.

Wise words from editor at cnet
"The one solution, as it is with most businesses, is to vote with your wallet and make it a point to the publisher or developer of a game that this DRM systems are keeping your from purchasing a title, or greatly reducing your enjoyment of the game experience.

Most publishers are unlikely to want to maintain the cost of running the activation, and/or online verification servers for older software, so be patient and wait for a version of the game that's been stripped of some of its most biting DRM traits."

The worst thing is to encourage UBI by buying the intrusive copy, that just encourage them to put ever worse drm in game.
Like: Always online verification, denial of savegame to player, Installing copy on only two computer, prevent current owner from selling their used games by blocking access to the new buyer, there are even talks of putting commercial AD during loading to cover cost of online verifications.

I played the game on the PC, and I like it very much. I didn't have any problems with the DRM. The only little problem I had that the connection to the server was lost ONCE! And also couldn't upload my save to the server. So after disabling putting my save to the server everything went fine.

I still say this DRM thing is a gift from heaven for both party's. Always have the latest patches/bug fixes. A backup from your saves safely stored on a server and piracy getting put in the ground, so more people buy the game and the developers have more money to make an even better game with it.

There is only one little thing missing and thats a demo for this game.

    I disagree.

Its a curse for people who have frequent network problems like me. My downloading speed sometimes can go as low as 3kbps! And at max is goes around 56kbps.

Storing your saves on the cloud sounds neat in a way, but a head ache in other ways!

I say whatever the sales of this game are, it would have been much higher if it was not for the stupid DRM.

I would have preferred having connected to the internet at RUN TIME, and after that, you may turn off the connection and continue playing...This would surely put less load on their "Already crappy" servers and lessen our grievances.

The only way I will be buying the game is if Ubisoft removes its DRM through an update/Patch.

Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

I think once is one too many, you have been put back to your last checkpoint due to no fault on your part.
Having your latest patch and bug doesn't require a drm, if someone told you this they are lying.
Piracy getting put to the ground is still to be seen, no tactics has been successful yet, and i doubt ubisoft drm will be that miracle.

People who pirate the game isn't likely to spend 50 bucks to buy it now that its difficult to pirate. Someone who buy the game like myself will wait for the steam version in 6 month thats less intrusive and 20 dollars cheaper. Therefore, I don't buy the argument that people will flock to store to embrace the new drm just because they can't pirate.

What Ubisoft can improve on is customer service, provide free dlc will definitely produce good will among customers. In the end its all about the product being sold, DRMs devalue the product we paid for, and unlike other used products drms totally eliminate resell value.

For me the math works like this 49.99 purchased - 19.99 sold used on ebay and total cost of the game is 30 dollars.
19.99 will go toward the next title i want, that can't happen with online drm, because the copy has been registered to me and my account.

Since I am not buying this DRM now, i have to wait for the drm free version 6 month down the road, by then sales figure for creed 2 has already been taken and my sale will not influence the decision weather creed 3 will be made.

If Car manufacturers suddenly establish a policy that you can't sell their used car are you going to jump for joy??

I dont sell my games I bought. And I only spend 25€ for this game. There are so many ways to get a game by a decent price. And yes if a connection is lost once, it is 1 to many, I agree with that. But remember that this is only the first game with this new protection.

And also this is the first step to what the future brings us.
In like 5 to 10 years, you can only play a game from remote servers by using a remote desktop feature, which offcourse also needs a constant connection.

This also means you dont need any fancy hardware, trainers for games aren't possible anymore, piracy put in the ground and the world becomes at peace.
