I had the same problem, but I disabled 1 hit kills in the trainer and he survived till the end of the game...

I'm at the tower or outside it really, and the game saved with my mask cracked, so i keep dying, is there a way around that, can't find a new mask.

you can load the level from the main menu, not the save game and you'll be ok until it gets broken again which seems to happen way way too much in this game.

one hit still gets buggy... not sure if i have to blame the author of the trainer... well he know his/her job but the game is buggy! too buggy!

One thing, dont use the one shot feature, remember it will kill your foes in one bullet BUT your foes can kill your mates in one shot too , and crack your gazmask very quickly.
