People who are emo (or emotional) tend to cut their wrists. I think it started years ago when people who were in a great deal of grief or sadness would pierce their skin in order to release the sadness. They also like to wear all black, have half their face covered in a fringe (boy or girl it doesn't matter) some wear excessive amounts of eyeliner. There is also emo music, which personally, I'm not a fan of.
