I have waited for a long time for this, and have only being playing the game a couple of hours so far- and i have to say WOW- its drawn me in. I get lost in the game with the amazing sound track and brilliant characters so far. I owned ff8 first, and moved to 9 then back to 7, before going to x2 then x i have to admit things went slightly downhill with 7 and x being the better games so far i think this will meet if not exceed ff7 for the gripping story but we'll have wait n see
whats everone else with the game think to it? im suprised there isnt any recent posts since it was released today

More trophies to collect woohoo. I have 4 so far. Best FF game yet, from what I played. Most of the map areas have been linear in design. Hopefully there will be larger areas to explore.

It gets a lot better around chapter 10. I don't know why they chose to make it so linear at first.

ff13 is way too linear for my tastes. i beat the final boss and i thought maybee the side quests would be fun to finish.
Oh boy, i thought wrong. its all just about making materials for upgrading your stuff.(weapons/accessories)
there isn't anyone to talk to for RPG immersion. i figure ff10 and ff12 had more stimulating side quests than ff13 ever will especially if they don't change the format for ff13 spinoffs and sequels.
bottom line if this didn't have a final fantasy TM on it, it quite possibly could have low sales figures out the door.
