I have been a CH unlimited member for several years and this is the first time I have ever heard of a title being retired. I don't know what happened to cause this but I wish it hadn't.
And I would like to say I have always appreciated all the hard and excellent work that Cal puts into making trainers, even for games that have had many patches. One example is Red Alert 3, if memory serves that had 10 patches and there were 10 updates made for the trainer very quickly I might add.

Unbelievable! No offense to the hard working trainer makers on this site, and whether the other site is add-on to this site does not matter. I am a proud paying member to this site and just purchased a lifetime membership to this site to have all-out access to the best trainers. I flatout refuse (which I know is my choice) to pay an additional $5.00 plus $3.00 for updates for a trainer I received free a month or two ago. That's why I am posting the thumbs down to you guys. Paying members should get free access to those trainers period.
I am finished whining now, thanks for listening.

Thread necromancy... I am on the fence but leaning toward deep disappointment.
If I made extensive use of the offerings, I'd see value in paying more. But I'm an unlimited member because I don't want the hassles of one-offs. Let me be clear, I view unlimited as a convenience. I have no illusions or fantasies of entitlement.
I rarely need or want a trainer/patch/cheat. But when I do, I measured Cheat Happens as the best-in-class service. This is my one stop shop.
I'm happy to pay another $25, $50, or $100 or even move to a monthly fee model (like easynews) to get the Diamond Uber-Unobtainium Member access to unlimited store offerings as well.
Don't %#@& around with client perceptions or misunderstand the importance of getting out in front of this.
I don't take kindly to poor expectation management.

That really sucks to hear that this game is being retired and I just purchased the game last week. I understand that the creators have put a lot of time into these trainers and it's understandable that problems should arise because some people don't fully understand the concept into what it takes to make some of these trainers. Sorry to hear that this is happeneing. Thank you for the trainer

I totally agree with zortek.
Steam had an EA Week and The Sims 3 and all its expansion pack to date was on promotion.
I was surprised and extremely disappointed to see CH retiring The Sims 3, especially after browsing The Sims 3 forums in CH and finding out the reasoning for it.
Like zortek mentioned, please don't jerk us around. I've had many good memories from the trainers I've downloaded since I became an Unlimited member. Every single experience with CH has been positive and I'd like this to end up as a positive experience too.
I strongly urge CH to review their decision on this. It's not fair to the majority of your thankful (but rather silent) customers. If it's an issue of being under attack and not feeling like you had any support, mail us, your paying customers. I'd be happy to side with CH against any unreasonable and immature demands.

As said countless times, CH can't simply update every game in existence, and that includes The Sims 3. If we allowed people to complain and then do a trainer for a more recent patch for a game that is retired then everyone would want it done for another old favourite game and so on.
So if it is retired it is retired. There is other newer games being worked on constantly there just isnt enough time to accommodate every game.
Besides you can update to the version that the newest trainer can do, and not any more than that. You don't have to update a game always to the newest version half the time the update only affects a small percentage of gamers anyway.
Besides I think it is time to close this thread.
