Seriously guys, shutup about the graphics. Remember Crysis? Gorgeous game but it absolutely BOMBED in the market because it required a fantastic PC and didn't scale at all.

Personally, I'm not a graphics *****, so I think the game looks good. And to the person above whining about every RTS released in the last five years, you're being way too picky.

I'm not one of those idiots who keep saying "Graphics aren't important" because I think they are, but game developers don't have to keep releasing ground-breaking graphically charged games just so you can justify the purchase for your extremely expensive machine.

I apologize for my rant, but people have been whining more about the graphics and less about the actual gameplay, which is just stupid beyond belief.

Is the game fun? Are you enjoying yourself? Can you graphics crybabies answer that?

seriously! some people talk on and on and on about graphics as if their pc's can handle high-end graphics with all settings maxed out i can't understand y people get so overly critical about games. games r supposed to be fun..a source of enjoyment..if u want to get critical go become a full-time critic.

No different from other modern RTS's either, sadly. Starcraft 2, Red Alert 3 and C&C4 are just some examples of total ruination of a game. Starcraft 2 will make it good just because of its classical (SC1-esque) gameplay, but there's no reason to get RA3 or C&C4 whatsoever.

The graphics, the gameplay and the overall feeling of the game(s) has been made into a childish mess. (Also known as the "console disease", the games are so simple they could be played on a NES controller if so were.)

In my opinion RA3 "leads" by a long way, EA totally screwed up the Red Alert franchise, pretty much as bad as they could, with RA3. Supcom2 is (at least judging by the demo) still a decent RTS, and it keeps some good things from the first, even if many are lost and missed. (Good to get rid of the dumb fuel system for air units though - it was totally illogical.)

What you are saying about RA 3 and C&C is absolutely true, but as for starCraft it is still still will change a lot as the final release is somewhere in December of this year. In any case C&C 4 is a complete flop, C&C 3 was quite good and graphics were not at all cartoony like RA 3

C&C 3 was good. i liked it but i also liked RA3..cartoony or not..i enjoyed it. and i guess that's the point. if u enjoy it..then its good..if u don't enjoy it..then its bad for u even though its gfx may be out of this world.

I dont how many of you actually played the first games in those franchises. I mean original Total Annihilation, original red Alert and Starcraft (probably a lot of players played SC). You know all those games were somewhat cartoony - especially Total Annihilation and Starcraft. Same goes for RA 2, RA 1 - it was more edgy than cartoony . Still I can see why they are making those games cartoony, it is their art style for beginning.
Also I like the games that follow this rule: Substance over style. With no actual content, the game will blow, graphics or not (at least for me).
    All this is imo.

I have to agree after playing C&C4 beta they have turned that into an ugly Red alert 3 clone.

Changed the gameplay and made it pretty much useless unless you are 10 - 12 years of age. When gameplay is base building and fun, why change???

yea...collecting resource and building a base...that's part of RTS fun. changing that isn't a good idea.
