Napoleon: Total War Message Board  

Which pack-file do I need to edit for Napoleon Total War. When I load the data-file from NTW into the DB-Editor, the only pack-file that shows up is the patch-ge. When I edit some stats there the units won't change in the acctual game.

What am I doing wrong?

The DBEditor was made for Empire TW, while you can mod some Napoleon TW files with it, the units are as of yet unmoddable. So all you can do right now, is wait for a new DBEditor or a completely new editor to mod unit stats.

Huh i think your confused.

Only very old versions of the packfilemanager can edit tables in your database. The packfile you are looking for is patch.pack and then look for the table called units or unit_stats_land.

However in new versions of the packfilemanager you can't edit anything anymore. You will need a database editor however none have been created yet for napoleon total war.

Jacces was faster in answering then me. Hes right we need to wait for a new DBeditor.

oke good so you can edit the unit stat like rangs and moral like it Rome total war ?? when the new DBeditor come out ??

what is the empire DB editor called

its called ETW DBEditor although I suggest you use the latest Pack File Manager.

The thing is tho is that these two cant edit the stats and other settings of NTW.

When you try to run it wants you to locate Empire.exe. I know it sounds stupid, but if someone put Empire.exe from ETW into the Napoleon TW folder an locate it with DBEditor, maybe it would work. Remember, I said MAYBE!!!
