Ok i saw the casting for avatar the last airbender and one thing to point out
ITS AN ASIAN CARTOON!!
and theyre oof putting white ppl as asians at least the main ones like sokka and aang and katara im kinda ****ed the effects are nice i can tell you that, but doode! i mean 🤔
What? Its a little wierd for Asians to look like Europeans, but you know what, it does not matter much unless you are a racist.

The characters could be any ethnicity--and that's the point; to be as non-confrontational as possible. And it's a hollywood movie which has a nack for ruining the authenticity of things so even if were by some miracle able to mess up the ethnicity of the characters it wouldn't be a surprise.
