I've Been Wondering, Should I Go For An ATI RADEON HD 5970 OR Consider An NVIDIA GE-FORCE GTX 295. Please Kindly Advise Me Which Will Be Better In Terms Of:
Well both of them are the best cards in the business.
I would go for the ATI Radeon HD 5970 though, NVidia cards are too fragile for me and they come with less warranty periods than the ATI cards (At least in my country).

I Would Greatly Appreciate The Effort. Thank You All.
nVidia GTX295 is better and the best. i'm using 2 of these and i'm extremely satisfied although u'll need a really good PSU for high-end cards such as Cooler Master/Corsair/Thermaltake/Lian Li whichever u can afford easily. for a single GTX295 i'd recommend a 850W psu with a 80% and/or above operating efficiency because under full 3D load these high end cards really start to suck power big-time and low cost/low end psu's r going to burn up.

Performance wise NVidia are pioneers, I concur. But what about its durability? They are as fragile as glass.
I have had owned 4 NVidia cards till now, and all of them stopped functioning or simply broked up (Heat issues or w/e) in less than a year.

i've never had a single nVidia card burning up or malfunction..not a single one...ever! look at all the fellas on The Saboteur thread and the recent Aliens vs Predator(2010) threads discussing their problems of crashes etc. most of these guys have ATI cards. i don't trust ATI cards except the much older ones like 8000/9000 series. they were rock solid...and most games come loaded for nVidia support. and i buy my card from Rashi Peripherals here in India and it comes with a 3 year warranty support plus i only buy XFX.

The 5970 owns the gtx295 on every point except the availability, good luck on finding one. I would not suggest getting a new card yet cause the games don't even need a gtx 295 for now.

PhysX would be an issue except you can download a modified version which will still work with an ATI GPU.

i disagree..5970 could never 'own' a GTX295
