I am using fully udated steam version. (Single Player)

    My problem:
    When I launch the game,

1."Preparing to launch game" message window comes up
2."Preparing to launch game" message window closes
3."My Games" window in steam shows the game as "Syncing...%0...0 bytes/s"
4."My Games" window displays game as 100% ready.
    Game does not start.

    I have tried:
Closing steam gracefully (also by ending steam process)
    Logout and Login
    Reboot
Delete local game content & redownload the game
    Verify local game cache
Delete clientregistry.blob(which has fixed some issues with CSS)

Have I missed any of the generic-steam-problem troubleshooting methods?

    Help appreciated

    Multiplayer works.

    Solution found,

Steam for some reason was being started in two user accounts on my pc. After logging into the second account, and closing steam, all worked well.

    Hope this helps someone else.
