It's so sad to see the award become so meaningless. Alfred Nobel had a really tear-jerking motivation for creating the prizes, and now it's all gone to waste.

If it was actually legit prize I wouldn't begrudge the internet getting it.

Can any of you really say if you had the choice to live with or without you would go for the latter?

It's transformed gaming, made communication more easier I myself have kept in contact with people I would of otherwise lost contact with ages ago. It's also encourages free speech for better or for worse looks at the Iran election it all would of gone unnoticed without the internet, people living in Communist countries get their voices heard when they would otherwise be totally restricted. Not to mention it's an invaluable source of information when it comes to studying.

I'm aware there's plenty of downsides but if you avoid all the malicious noobs then it's a decent place a times. Plus it has CHU on it!

The Nobel Peace Prize ceased to be a legitimate award when they decided to give it to terrorists responsible for the murder of civilians (Arafat), Marxist guerrillas responsible for the mass murder of civilians (Mandela), the largest failure in world history (the UN), people who make fictional movies (Al Gore), military dictators (Kim Dae-Jung) and people who have done absolutely nothing in their entire lives (Barak Obama).

What exactly do you have against president Arafat?

    For Macaragge.

The problem with the Internet getting the award is that one person or team can't receive the award. Many people and groups have worked on and contributed to the creation of the Internet.

Oh, I don't know. Being a barbarian jihadist murderer may have something to do with it. Simply because his opponents were barbarian zionist murderers doesn't justify his crimes against the human race.

In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'

Well there are many famous people in the world to beat him...

Im pretty sure the Internet has caused just as many as it's solved.

Anyway i have my fingers crossed for my toilet being nominated next year, considering recent events.
