Thane was wearing the hood because there was no air its his default helmet for when there's no air, just like when you wearing the n7 with open front it closes when there's no air. I know because I took him with me on that mission.

    Sigh :/

    Our Apologies

The BioWare websites; online store; master server; and online authentication are temporarily unavailable. Sorry folks; we're having a few technical difficulties. Those pesky Gnomes are banging away at the giant; steam-producing clockwork computers we keep in the basement guarded by Swikky the dire squirrel. We will be back up as soon as we can.

this is taken from my friends at hellforge. You can see pictures of the free stuff here and info on how to get them all
    hellforge.gameriot.com/blogs/Hellforge/Mass-Effect-2-Free-Dr-Pepper-Promo-DLC-Codes

"EA/Bioware and Dr. Pepper recently teamed up for a Mass Effect 2 promotion that provides drinkers of the soda the chance to win three DLC items for use in the new game. Those living outside the United States are sadly ineligible for the promotion, and players who just don’t drink the stuff may simply be out of luck.

As it turns out, I have good news. The keys provided in the promotion are completely static and reusable.

    The codes are as follows:

    CBEEAAA41NWH
    CBEEAAAE4L9N
    CBEEAAAFQG9J
    CBEEAAAE98ZV "

Sorry for seeming like an idiot, but...Where do you put these in? On the site it says they are invalid.

But hey, this you could get with the DLC's! I already have them... and 5 or 6 new Armor-Suits - one of it got a look of Dragon Age Origins Dragon sign on it - really cool!

An other makes you look like an alien. They all have positive effects for your attackpower or things like that.

    A must HaVe!

New Missions are available too after the installation of them and-and-and!

Mass Effect 2 still let my mind detonate into a new dimension of playing - it's so great!

Thanks, works like a charm. Also someone on the site posted this, used it myself to get the last item since only 2 of the 3 show up on the page. Enjoy

To save myself trips to the recycling bin I'll repost the procedure from that site:

"when you go to Dr Pepper's site and enter a code for the mass effect 2
goodie it will take you to a page currently showing 2 of the 3 hoods.
there should be a button there that basically says "choose this item"
if you hover over that button and rightclick/copy link you should get a
really long garbage URL. in that will be one of two phrases:

    "goodie=recon_hood"
or "goodie=umbra_visor" paste the garbage URL in your browser and then
edit that part to read "goodie=sentry_interface" and hit enter."

It should work about as well as me sending out codes everywhere.
