I went through the key file generation process and placed my key file in the directory where the trainer is located but when I run the trainer it still says that the trainer needs to be activated or that I need to create a key file.

The reason that I want to use offline activation is because I am paranoid and if I have to run the trainer with my AV turned off then I don't want to be connected to my network.

Anyone else have this problem?

Any ideas are appreciated.

I had the same problem for a long long time. But I don't know why it suddenly started working. What I did was copy the Trainer in the game directory, with the offline key (No renaming - Also don't paste shortcuts), and when I ran the trainer without the internet, it started working.

Ok I got it to work, after reading the previous post I thought that I would try and re-run the key generator with my AV off and then make a new key. Once I entered that into the website and downloaded the key everything works.

I am posting this so anyone else with this problem will find a quick solution.

Apparently if you need to run the trainers with your AV turned off then you need to run the key generator after the AV is turned off otherwise the key will not match because the key generator takes the AV status into effect for the key that is generated.

So turn your AV off run the key generator and then all will be well!
