So here is the question, is this game better than Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age Origins? I will only buy it if it is better.

And I am really look forward to a CheatFactor review of this game!
Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

Yes and no. If you played ME1, things have changed. If you haven't it shouldn't effect you.

Boiware always spins a web of story to entangle you and draw you in. They didn't fail to do so on this game. If you liked DA:O for the story and emotional involvement, then yes, you will like this game.

The combat systems is pretty cool, but a few more shortcuts would have been nice, or the ability to bind them at least.

Over-all, the game is what you make of it. I Find it to be fun. Very enjoyable.

So far, I'd honestly say that Dragon Age was better, and though I dislike some of the changes to combat (namely how they seem to want to make a Gears of War RPG with it) after the first hour or two, it gets much deeper and much more rewarding.

I'm personally dissapointed of ME2. It's VERY short (and being a "limited" member im not using the trainer), and the weapon and armor selection is extremely poor. I guess they will provide more in the downloaded content to prevent piracy, but anyway im dissapointed.

I'm going to have to agree about the DA-O part (i've not played Gears of war so don't know about that) Of course it's all about personal opinions, and to say DA-O is better takes nothing away from the fact ME2 is still a good game and I'd still recommend it. Just buy DA-O first if you can only afford one.

Depends. Story in Dragon Age couldn't be any crappier. The main villain is just a gfiant lizard. No dialogues, no motivations, no interesting moments - just a giant lizard in the end. Logain lacks motivations too. So he betrayed the king. Why? To become the king? To reunite the nation? Then why does he do nothing except for sit on his ass the entire game? Boring. Elect the dwarf king. Sort out "political" differences between elves and warewolves.
You know what becomes clear in the end? It's not a fantasy game, its a freaking political election. The only thing that actually IS better than in Mass Effects is RPG system. (quests, dialogues, level ups). But when it's being outran by empty and crappy storyline, then yes, Mass Effect is better.

As for which Mass Effect is better... For me it's the first one. More quests, exploration on Mako, probably a better storyline too. And first one has less dark atmosphere. I normally don't mind, but here it's just depressing. I also didn;t like the locations much in second. Kinda same.
Some people have kind hearts of gold. Some - cold hearts of stone. I have a brave and hard heart of steel.

Compare to Dragon Age Story ME2 sucked.

The character are archtypical and their motivation loopy and one-dimensional.

I find that playing through the game is a chore more than fun. The best part is actually the hacking. That is the only thing I enjoy right now.

But I only gathered 6 people so far. Maybe the game will be better later.
