The only requirement is that you have a save AFTER the game's conclusion (So if you start a new-game+ you have to complete that entire playthrough and have a Final save before it will allow you to import your character).

Have you started a new-game Plus with that career? That would prevent it from loading that character, as it's not a Final save.
    Yo.

Did you use the Configure option in the launch screen to tell it where your ME saves were? I found it did not locate them automatically, but when I navigated to the proper subdir (and exited the screen, no save button and no indication it has found your saves) the next time I went to import ME1 my saves were listed.

As he says, you use the launcher, from what instructions i read on the site with all the Saved games for those you can't stomach playing ME for the 10 gillionth time. lol

It gave me great instructions, but the one above says what you got to do, but when you do point it into the direction of your ME saved games, make sure to save the config, like as if you altered the games' graphics there.
