I've been trying to find the keys for the inventory function. And also acording to the games key binding the M key is the map key, but I can't get it to work for some reason. Any help or feedback would be appreciated.

There is no inventory, and thus you can't bind anything to pull it up.
M will display the map in the "towns/outposts", otherwise it will pull up a small compass with a direction to objective indicator.
