There are significant numbers of new cases every year along the Gulf Coast and, interestingly, in New York City.
And every year the number of new cases increase because every year there is less and less effort expended to control the mosquito population, be it through environmental or fiscal concerns.
Simply because it is not endemic does not mean it isn't there.
In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'
