I have been on both sides of the proverbial "religious table." I was born into a devout Christian family. I myself followed that faith until about a year ago. I got to the point where I denied the existence of God.

Now I do not sit at the religious table. I hate religions that have a God that requires people to bow and to follow in fear. Do not mistake this for hating the people who follow said religions. I do not hate anybody. I only hate certain ideas.

Any Christian who reads this will undoubtedly think that I will burn in Hell. I will not. I do not believe in your Hell, so I will not burn in it.

And the only reason I singled out Christianity is because I have been there and I know it well.

    That is my 2 cents.

I have a similar belief to this. The only difference though, is that I'm talking about after you die.

    Let me try to explain.

Whether or not I'm wrong about God an whatnot, at least I have something to live for. When I die, I am going to die knowing that something better awaits me. And if I am wrong, then it's not like I'd know it. I would eventually be forgotten and no one even know I ever existed. My mind and soul would be lost forever, and I wouldn't even know that I was just lost.

You, on the other hand, have nothing to look forward to. You are ready thinking that you'll just rot in the ground. What fun is that?

Hope is the single thing that keeps humanity driving. That is the single thing that has kept us alive and moving throughout all these past years. And you may live a wonderdul, and fruitful life, but you've still got no hope for what lies beyond you.

I agree with that post, and would like to add: If christianity is wrong, then we have set all these morales for nothing, however, if athiesm is wrong, well...
