From what I've seen, the game just seems to patch itsself... I've not had to apply anything, just installed and voila, it was v1.03.

When I look in the configuration tool I see this:

    DAOrigins.exe - v1.00
    DAOriginsLauncher.exe - v1.01
    DAOriginsConfig.exe - v1.03
    Uninstall Dragon Age.exe - v1.03

Perhaps I'm still on v1.00, but this does confuse the heck outta me.

    No 1.03. only 1.02a

    Thats it, thats all.........

sigh - if you read the infomation there people it really is quite straight forward.
Let me break it down for you

DAOrigins.exe - v1.00 - this is the game version, your playing a game called Dragon Age:Origins. DA are the first letters of Dragon Age, its whats called an abbreviation to keep the title shorter.

DAOriginsLauncher.exe - v1.01 - This is the Launcher for the game, you can tell because it has the word launcher in it.

DAOriginsConfig.exe - v1.03 - This is the configeration program that you use to set up the graphics, sound etc. you can tell this because it says Config in the title (another abbreviation).

Uninstall Dragon Age.exe - v1.03 - This is the program that is used to remove the game from your computer, you can tell this because it has the word Uninstall in the title.

as we can tell from looking at the numbers behind the .exes we can tell the following...

DAOrigins.exe - v1.00 is the original version with no updates having been preformed, we know this because all gaming versions start at 1.00 and the number increases upon each patch.

    DAOriginsLauncher.exe - v1.01 has been updated once, this time the v1 has a .01

DAOriginsConfig.exe - v1.03 remember that this is the config file not the game file, it has been updated 3 times.

All this information means then that your still on the original unpatched version of the game v1.00 hope this helps to clear up any confusion.

Why is everyone having problems with the trainer not working? Im using it with the 1.02a and no crashes or nothing. Maybe im the lucky one i do not know, but i just dont see why it wont work for any one else...

Heh, Dragonshade, if anyone cannot get that they need to get rid of the computer.

I believe the reason the game crashes upon using the 1.02 trainer is simply, as Dragonshade said, they are running v1.00 (or the original version of game). Update to v1.02a for best gaming experience and use latest trainer.

Sometimes frustration takes over and allows us to not see even the simplest problem.

Great game, great site and great trainer. Thanks for what you do

Thanks for clearing that up I guess.

I do know the definitions as you posted above, just didn't know which one applied to what version the game actually is.

I'll get the latest update from Bioware now and see if it works.
