If he's so unstable that he gets mad at people making counter-arguments with valid points against his views and the inconsistencies therein, I can't see much good of his staying around to read/post in any topic that could have anything even remotely close to an intellectual debate, he'd just end up snapping and flaming me or FFQueen to all hell and getting himself banned. I applaud him for being at least mature enough to realize he needs a break before he does something he regrets.
I don't see what the big deal is though. I have more than enough reason to be upset for what he's said because he's basically said in much nicer words but with no less malice that "[we] ***s don't deserve equality because my religion based on love and forgiveness said so." Whatever, if he comes back that's fine. If he reads this post, I want him to know I respect him and I simply gave counter-arguments because I respect him and value him as a person, and think any man worth his salt would support equality over biblical misinterpretations. Dhampy is more of a scholar in terms of biblical inaccuracies than I am, and I'm in turn more savvy of them than Noble Crusader.
Some sites have rules against religious/philosophical debate, but I found that silly until now. Some of the thinner-skinned kids can't handle friendly and sometimes mildly heated debate without needing to call a WAAHMbulance.
Noble, you're a good kid, don't let this get to you. I respect you as a person, and I respect your views, but don't lose it just because someone disagrees and tries to have a friendly, if a little heated, debate with you over it.
