Okay so I've just received the G.E.C.K from Fawkes and asked him if he wants to come with me, he says he will only get me killed. It's not giving me a Karma or companion notice, so what's going on?

He won't come with you. This ISN'T the place to get a follower. Keep going, he'll show up later, and you can recruit him then.

Yeah, I started to move out of the vault and got koed, ive got him now, and jericho, clover, cross and dogmeat
