The Sims 3 Cheats While in normal gameplay, press [ctrl]+[shift]+C to open the cheat console on Windows XP ,Vista, Windows 7, and also on Mac computers.
Cheat --> FloorElevation true/false Allows terrain adjustment regardless of objects/Sims/etc on them
Cheat --> disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt on/off When on, objects will not snap to slots while holding ALT
Cheat --> moveObjects on/off Removes footprint limitation for all object placement in Buy Mode and Build Mode. Removes limitations placed on hand tool for when objects are in use, or are normally non-movable objects.
Note that using this cheat allows you to delete objects that normally cannot be deleted, such as Sims, the mailbox, and the garbage can. If you delete these objects, there is no way to get them back, so be careful!
Gameplay Cheats
Cheat --> resetSim "firstname lastname" Resets the Sim with neutral motives, no moodlets, and teleports Sim back home
Cheat --> quit Exits the game
Cheat --> kaching Gives §1,000 to active household
Cheat --> motherlode Adds §50,000 to active household
Cheat --> unlockOutfits Put this before going into CAS to use career and NPC outfits, such as a Fire Man/Woman
Cheat --> freerealestate Allows Sims to move into houses for free
Advanced Cheats
Cheat --> testingCheatsEnabled true/false Enables the cheats below and the ability to shift-click Sims to add them to the current family, remove moodlets by ctrl-clicking them, edit their traits or age them up. Also allows the current household's mailbox to be shift-clicked for more debug cheats, such as "Make everyone know me" if you enter testingcheatsenabled true on the select family screen before loading the family, you can drag the needs bars up or down and when viewing your sims relationships you can drag the bars there either way.
Cheat --> ageuptonpc Makes a toddler who grows up to child become an NPC (non-controllable) in the household. Must have testingCheatsEnabled on
Cheat --> familyfunds [household] [amount] Sets the amount of Simoleons of the family to [amount]. For example, 'familyfunds Landgraab 10000' gives the Landgraab family 10,000 simoleons, even if they first had 50,000 simoleons. Must have testingCheatsEnabled on.
Cheat --> maptags on/off Toggles map tags on or off. Must have testingCheatsEnabled on. (This cheat is no longer needed after update 1.7 because there is a "none" option in map view after the update is installed.)
Cheat --> playsounds on/off Enables or disables all audio. Must have testingCheatsEnabled on.
Cheat --> recordvideo small/medium/large low/moderate/high/max Starts recording video with specified size and quality. Must have testingCheatsEnabled on.
Cheat --> speed [0-4] Changes game speed from 0 = paused to 4 = ultra speed through current action. Must have testingCheatsEnabled on .
Cheat --> buydebug on/off(so far all i get with this is an error message) Unlocks a Buy Mode slot with many debug objects such as Butterfly, Beetle, Gem, and Meteor generators, the mysterious gnome, the toy box's toys, etc.
Shift Clicks Shift Clicking on a particular object when TestingCheatsEnabled is true will bring up a special debug pie menu. This pie menu isn't as extensive as it was in The Sims 2, but there are some useful cheats.
The following are the objects and their top level cheats. Cheats with a "..." have more levels that may not be listed for brevity.
Mailbox
Cheat --> Make All Happy Sets mood to Max. (Removes most negative Moodlets and maximizes Needs).
Cheat --> Make Friends For Me
Cheat --> Make Needs Static/Dynamic Needs do not decay on their own. The pie menu changes
Cheat --> Make Needs Dynamic Needs return to normal decay rate. The pie menu changes to "Make Needs Static"
Cheat --> Make Me Know Everyone
Cheat --> Force Visitor or Cheat --> Force NPC... Forces a particular NPC to arrive.
Cheat --> Set Career... Sets the current Sim's career to the specified path, branch, and rank.
Work Place
Cheat --> Force Opportunity Seems to only force work-related opportunities, no skill related opportunities are caused.
Cheat --> Force Event Force All Events
On Floor
Cheat --> Teleport (After update 1.7) Build/Buy on this lot
All Sims
Cheat --> Trigger Age Transition
Cheat --> Add to active household
Cheat --> Active Sim
Cheat --> Modify Traits for Active Sim
Cheat --> Trigger age transition

Cheat --> Add to Household
Control Clicks if testingcheatsenabled true is on, you can control + click any moodlet in the moodlet panel to eliminate it. If it is motive induced, the bar related to the negative moodlet will be filled completely, just like when it is subject to a "Cure" by the Moodlet Manage
