Surely when you're on your own you keep yourself entertained, draw, read, play video games, go for a walk
Instead of watching the clock, you could socialize.
"Wahh, I don't like Christmas because I hate my family" is the same thing thousands of other kids on the internet say each alot of the time this year. We really don't want to hear it, and we're STILL answering your questions.
I understand that there are people out there that don't have families that are caring, that don't argue, that aren't abusive in mental/physical ways. I guess you didn't notice because you're miserable that "you don't fit in with your family". Well Hell, they don't have to feed you on thanksgiving, or give you gifts on Christmas. You SHOULD be more grateful for what everyone you know as a family member has done for you. Now, if you really "don't fit in" then I am sure there is some sort of miss communication that YOU need to find out.
I completely agree.
Within a month and a half, my entire immediate family has birthdays, three cousins and two aunts have birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and all of them apparently need to be celebrated.
This is why I have turned away from the practice of celebrating anything. I don't want people celebrating my birthday, I don't want Christmas gifts. I give birthday gifts to those I deem worth the effort of maintaining a good relationship and I give Christmas gifts. Contradiction? Possibly. I like giving, I hate receiving.
