(My anti-virus had just run out of time )I had just formatted one of my PC's and got it completely checked (by proffessional) +i got it checked with one of my friend's PC who has a Norton 09-updated all because of a virus problem.(which incidentally turned out to be a really pathetic virus as AVG detected and wiped it out. (It had infected a pen-drive. It worked without any odd problems for two days now. Today i got it configured the PC for internet use and then got it connected to the internet.. I'd say the PC was working fine for about 30-45 seconds but after that the PC closed down(not shut-down ,closed) and then I got an OS generated message saying the PC had encountered an error and it had shut down windows so as to protect the computer from any damage. the msg continued on to tell about whether this was the first time I'm seeing this msg etc. and to start the PC again and then got

Start-->Run-->CHKDSK F\

.It then continued to give some sector values and some such information regarding values and stuff.
After that when i restart the PC windows loads and right after the Windows Welcome screen (maybe about 1-2 seconds at most) or just before the Welcome screen changes to the Normal Desktop. The same thing happens.
Its going on happening over and over again with no change... What should i be doing now???
Will just plain complete PC formatting help????
Why is this happening???Is there anyway without having format and specially without having to buy any new hardware(coz of limited money for hard-ware) to restore back to normal???

P.S. I use Windows XP Sevice pack 3..
And I don't really get the time to use stuff like Tune-up utilities Disk-Doctor... because of ATM 2=3 seconds before PC closes down windows....

Any help please???

You need the specific STOP Code for a diagnosis. This will be like

STOP 000000000x0 (Parameter 1, Parameter 2, ect, ect)

okay... but then how do i execute that code????
Sorry i know I'm noobish but really do need help. And can't spend too mcuh on more hardware as I'm already going over-board trying to get the tools to play dota with my clan updated... Will I have to be buying a new Hard-Drive??? that's what my friend suggested, but my Parents aren't willing. Hence I'll have to stop practicing on garena, And will have to go to the LAN for garena also...

So any help would be really appreciated....

A STOP Code is the official string that tells the error ID and it is displayed on the BSOD when you get it. You just need to copy it down and relay it back here.
