    you need to start the game with the command line option "-enabledevelopermode" without the quotes

    then you press the tilde key and type "runscript ch?

    The Script doesn't seem to work. I installed it to this folder; Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\data\scripts I had to create the sripts-folder.
    I also added "-enabledevelopermode" as command line option.

    Now I entered the game and tried to set up the command runscript ch bp but nothing happens. My maximum inventory ammount stays at 70.

    Ia there anything wrong? Or does this script only work with the 1.0-version of the game? Actually I am using version 1.01b

    when you pressed the tilde key (on us keyboards its the one to the left of the 1) and started typing did anything show up at the top of the screen? the instant you press "r" when typing "runscript" something should show up...if not then the commandline isn't working or the tilde key isn't working....can't tell which

    the target box of the shortcut should have something like this

    "G:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\dragon age origins\bin_ship\DAOrigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole

    if you are using steam, try navigating to the equivalent location above and manualy creating a shortcut....i dont use steam to launch the game...

    also if you are using the games laucher that might do it too

    if its not any of those problems then the problem would be that the console key isn't mapped in your version of the game....

    look in \documents\bioware\dragon age\settings\keybindings.ini
    for a line that reads
    OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_Grave
    or
    OpenConsole_0=(UNASSIGNED)

    if its the second one replace with the first one....if not present insert the first one

    if neither of these work, just keep in mind that when typing the text you type wont be displayed, and you need to be 100% acurate, miss-spellings fail

    Hello MJALowe

    thank you for your answer. The console seems to work. After pressing the tilde-key an typing the letter 'r' some letters show up. So I think that the command line ist working.

    The target of my shortcut looks like that:

    "D:\Electronic Arts\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole

    I am not using steam. I am using the german retail-version of the game.
    My 'keybindings.ini' looks like discribed.

    I am sure that I am typing the words in the right way. When I type "runscript ch bp" and then press the enter-key, the expected action does not show up. The inventory capicity stays at 70/70.

    I am using Win7 64bit and I tried to run the game in admin-mode and without it.
    Do you have any other solutions? Does this script only work with the US-Version of the game?

    yup....command line working....command itself not...

    let see...when i do that, i usually pause the game, with spacebar... press (without quotes) "`runscript ch bp" then press enter - then open the inventory to check...to see if the script is running why not try another command...like adding runes....that would be "`runscript ch run"...this should add 1 of each grandmaster rune

    its possible that the script only works with the US version....that "could" be the case, though i wouldn't know why

    as a note....using the toolset you can edit the savegame to edit the inventory ammount....to any number you want...just dont purchase backpacks after you do that...it would reset to 125 if you put in a larger number

    If your console is working ok then the only thing I can think of is that you may of put the script file in the wrong place. I assume you have double checked the location against the instructions, but other than that I am drawing a blank.

    You can not use the shortcut to DAOriginsLauncher.exe

    You must be using the daorigins.exe to run the game and add the console command line to that shotcut.

    Also backspace works like it should, I have many times used the same runscript command and just remove the numbers at the end with backspace and it worked fine (on NA keyboards at least)
