So I'm moving yay!!! so that means finally high speed internet again... and I'm only getting 5mpbs in till I start paying the bill, but It lags(ps3) none stop when my brother is on the computer. So i'm thinking of getting a router with QOS or just putting my Ps3 in the DMZ. I mean I know the risks of putting my Ps3 in the Dmz but I honestly doubt that theres anything they can do it my Ps3..currently. Opinions?

When I first read the topic title, I thought "Ok, this guy lives in either North or South Korea and is going to put his PS3 in the middle of a minefield just for kicks and giggles."
Then I read what the topic is about.
I know thats what I thought too, when I first started researching port forwarding and all that. but basically from what I know it just opens the ports puts the Ps3 behind the firewall and giving it direct connection to the internet. I mean the QOS Quality of service routers give the Ps3 ports priority over everything else. But from what I know, know one is yet able to brick the ps3 or anything, and as long as I set the static IP address the only unsecured system should be the PS3. I honestly don't know, I was just looking for honest opinions, I'm fairly tech savvy, but if it's to much of a pain I'll just stick to tinkering with vehicles.
