I have been a member of this site for four years now. I like the overall aspect of this site. But when the person who benefits the most from this site makes disparaging remarks whether it be in his personal blog or on the site itself and then gets a snippy attitude when responding to unfavorable responses concerning those remarks, only goes to further discourage me from financially supporting this site. That is why I am still a non-paying member. I will not put money into the pocket of someone who obviously is very cavalier about the feelings of the people who patronize his site and the people who are responsible for helping to keep his site up and running in an efficient manner. Even though the blog is his own personal blog, the forum in which it is presented is not. Unless he requires a membership and password to access that blog, then it is not private and should therefore adhere to guidelines for decency that he requires from his member site. If not then that is blatant hypocricy.
Perhaps you would like to follow insom's lead then?
I would have been the first to go if I thought those remarks were made to actually offend the gay community. It was done in poor taste hence why I didn't participate in any of it.
Our views don't have to be the same just because I'm a mod. That doesn't mean we can't work together.

My opinion should have no bearing on the weight of the world and absolutely has no bearing on our products or services that are provided.
For those that think my little games with GameFAQs are childish, need I remind you that this is a VIDEO GAMES website where often the most popular threads revolve around someone's "penny" or how much someone else enjoys pie. You want maturity? Go hang out at eTrade's forums and discuss the in's and out's of today's economy. The users and mods at GF take every opportunity they can to bash us, mod us, tell us repeatedly that our paying members are "idiots" and they continuously look for ways to pirate our software. Sorry if I took offense to this and tried my best to fight back.
As far as my BLOG comments go, I have nuked my entire blog history and will not be making any future posts. Anyone subscribed to me might as well unsubscribe. It's obvious that I am not allowed to express my own opinion on my blog without it being taken entirely out of context and blown into some politically incorrect statement that defines the entire website.
@Blakmajick -- If you for one second think that I don't care about this site or it's members, then you are sorely mistaken. I put over 80 hours per week into this site and have for the past 8 years. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars per MONTH out of my own pocket for over 2 years just getting this site off the ground. I continue to do everything I can to make this the best site possible. One silly off-color comment and suddenly the whole site is not worth a whole $24.95 a year. Give me a break.

Anybody who said you don't care about this site he wasn't thinking his post for sure, And anybody here knows that you do care and i am just saying Why the **** we are starting a big problem for a no worth **** site like Gamefaqs. Lets just finish this, it has been over spoken.
This was surpising to hear Insom, but it's important to take things into consideration. I 100% agree that a model member (lest, founder) should not take an immature stance to a problem at hand such as the entity that is GameFAQs, but on the other hand I would be pretty furious if a bunch of teenagers formed a community, where the moderators (I think) assist in bashing another impartial group of people (us) over the most trivial matters, and continue to do whilst making an obvious point to us that they're doing it.
And I agree there may have been better ways to tackle this. I for one only took part at the very beginning, when it just started, but I have since not posted there simply because it's just not worth it to act and post like the degenerates on GameFAQs. Perhaps, as a founder, PWizard you may want to establish some sort of connection between you and the founder of GameFAQs? Try and do some damage control instead of fueling the fire with a heap of charcoal.
All in all, I'm sorry to hear you resign insom, and whilst I understand your reasoning and a bit of your personality, I don't think it was absolutely necessary and it is such a shame to see one of the best moderators step down.
GameFAQS is actually tied with Gamespot now.. And the mods there are very slow to act. And piracy threads are the norm but they dont do anything.
Ive seen people moan about CH way way back on there, they just dont get the idea that sometimes you pay for things, all because everything they have on their PC's is probably illegally gained.
I would love to see the groups take a nice 4 month break or maybe a bit more from releasing. Would shut the warez kiddies up. Moaning little gits. lol
It happened before believe it or not, many years ago, little suckers moaning on BBS's about this is not fair you have to pay for access here and there, so the main groups closed for 3 months. Shut them all up.

If your hard work was constantly being ripped off and hijacked by other sites I'm sure you'd loose a few profanity's here and there.
Using "gay" as an insult is just the way society has evolved, get used to it. And if you want to be picky over slang then you tell homosexuals to stop using a word which actually means "happy" or "merry" or "bright & showy" to describe their sexuality. What, are they afraid of saying the word homosexual? I really don't understand it.
Oh and one more thing - This site is privately owned, and as a founder & owner PWizard can do what he likes - and doesn't have to answer to us.
With that out the way, I hope you enjoy the rest of your time here insom
