I've posted the following on my blog, but I feel it's important enough to be posted on the GD board.
We're all aware that I'm a devoted follower of CHU, however, I have an issue with the language Pwizard has been using as of late in whatever this dispute with Gamefaqs involves. Openly bashing another website is one thing, but doing it in a way that degrades an entire group of people, some of which are bound to be paying members of your website is not something I support.
Calling another person gay, or a *** is something that needs to be done away with, we aren't in fourth grade, we're the face of a website that delivers a service, one that should try its best to respect our users and not sink to GameFAQ's level (assuming they did sink to this level)
It is for this reason, I am stepping down from my position as moderator. I will not police a forum that is openly hostile to any group of people. One thing I'm incredibly familiar with is such hostility. I have a close relative who is openly gay, and my best friend happens to be bi. I accept them for what they are, and know that it isn't something that should be ashamed of, I treat them no differently than I do anyone else, nor do I use the words gay, ***, homo, or anything along those lines in a negative way. Nobody is above treatment like this, I've been called a satan worshiping atheist a time or two, or razzed about being a vegetarian, and while Its a laugh most of the time, not every blow can be shrugged off like it were nothing, to attack someone for their sexual preference is something on another level, beyond a lifestyle choice or religion in my book, and I'm sure it cuts far deeper than I'm able to imagine.
This is my line in the sand. I've overlooked things like this in the past but no more. I openly refuse to police these forums henceforth.
I plan to continue being an active member of the CHU community and blogosphere, and hope that my line in the sand may influence others to take a stand.

I'm not trying to force anyone to learn anything. My decision to step down is a personal one that has more to do with my willingness to stand up for my beliefs rather than continue to ignore it.

You've done a great job when you entitled to that post. Now, I think it's hard to replace your position as for this moment. You've made a decision and I respect that. It was good to have you as a moderator.

However, I fully support and understand your reasons. It is better that you resign and remain true to yourself than to be silent about something bothering you.
