or you just edit the inis to increase difficulti and get orange and diamant (yeah, there are rarer items than orange, I already own 2 of them, I also have 4 of the 7 different alienguns^^)

Then invite a friend to enable the difficutly increase (it WON'T increase till you play with at least 2!!!) and open up some treaszurechest for weapons^^. There should be pruple, yellow and orange drops realy often and in every 20-30 chest there should be an alienweapon. Every 200-300 weaponbox should have a ultra rare diamant/extra white, it's hard to describe (many call it pearl, but it DOESN'T LOOK like pearl !!!). A higher difficulty than 6 doesn't work by the way. Oh yeah, you can realy edit alot of other things in the ini, too. For example icnrease the palyer limit and play with 8 instead of 4 people^^ Works fine for me and my friends, but only the first 4 players show up on the left. But everything else works normal^^.

what do i edit in what ini to change the diffuculty to teh hardest so I get better drops?

Actually current there IS a savegame editor out there... google for a saveedit by gibbed =)... but... it is rather complicated... u need to use an extractor to unpack the UPK files, cauz the editor allows for direct editing... which means you need to know exactly wad u are modifying... else u break ur game.

I broke my save game 5 times be4 i managed to get something decent out... still trying to find out how to modify the weapon quality...

Got it already, it's a decent tool, albeit very limited, and requires alot of game exiting (to the title) and reloading the savegame... shame that console is borked.

About the quality, it's a strange mix of body parts, effects, and even material (color). By changing the material to Hyperion_3 for a sniper, it adds 40-60 damage and can even jump from a blue sniper to a purple one.

Also, if you could provide a link to an unpacker, google failed me thus far (yes I've tried finding one, no luck).

DFHEX Editor is quiet good for editing savegames manualy.

You can increase the difficulty and max player number in the WillowGame.ini . (and TONS of other things, there is also a "cheating manager" with some codes which could increase droprates and stuf^^. But as I don't like cheating that much I haven't tried it out yet). It changes the difficulty when a player JOINS. So you need at least one friend joining when you set it to +6 instead of +1 ^^ (everything higher than 6 WON'T have an effect, but +6 will always have an effect when a player joins, so get 3 friends together and have fun farming crates in New Haven or other citys or just killing same levle enemys^^)


By the way, is there a savegameeditor for PC, too? Would like to mod my alienweapon to have another scope^^ The one I have sucks (3x zoom only ^^)

EDIT: Nevermind^^. Finaly found one with a good scope, looks like x4 or x5, not sure^^

I just use a hex editor. I've managed to edit my level, weapon proficiency and skills. As far as anything else I haven't tried much.

where did you find the weapon proficiency? I want to make
that higher too. cant see to find it with my hex editor.

It's a repeating pattern for all the proficiencies. You'll notice it after the first few times you have done it. You edit the value on the right side. 32 equals the number 50 in game.

You can also do the same with the Skill Tree. The max number you can do for the skill tree is 05 though. And in order to get them all you need to go back and forth with the hex editor. What I did was add 5 then reset my point and fill in each skill. Then go into the hex editor raise each skill I put a point into to 05 went back in game reset my points added them to even more skills and just repeated that process.

The reason you do that is because the skills don't show up in the save file unless you have them in game already. Same thing goes with the proficiencies if you never used a certain type of gun they won't show up in the save file so you won't be able to change anything.
