Is there a Savegameeditor for the PC version? There is already a working one for Xbox 360 saves^^. Maybe someone made one for PC, too. Hope someone find or make on, thanks^^.

I was able to mod the save with the hex editor a bit:

I was able to change - How much slots for stuf you have, so isntead of the starting 12 --> 50 for example, 45 is amximum normaly, and it still works ONLINE ^^

Then I was able to change skillpoints to 200, level to MORE than maximum (50 is max, changed it to 255 and it works, more can crash the game) and finaly the sniper weaponskill and amount of greandes you can wear. Haven't found more yet. I just used it on a new fun char, I don't want a max level or higher char^^. I just tried out what's possible. But I don't know how to create a savegame editor or mark a line which always changes the value.

So I hope someone can do it^^. It looks like it's pretty much the same from the xbox360 savegames. That's all I can tell.

That's all I can do for now, hope someone can find out more and find a way how to make a tool out of it

Here is the savegameeditor for xbox360, I don't know if it helps, but maybe it does

PLEASE do NOT play online with hacked inventory. It corrupts other players' save files. There's no reason to hack your inventory anyway unless you just like being a pack rat with your old guns, and even then, you can create "mule" characters to carry them for you, and hack THEIR inventory so they don't corrupt anyone else.

It's probably also likely that hacking ANYTHING beyond the in-game limit corrupts other peoples' files, so only play your hacked character offline. If you're going to hack an online character, do so in moderation, don't push anything over the limits so that you don't screw anyone over. Don't ruin legitimate players' save games and online experience.

Go to the Borderlands Gearbox forums and say that, and see what happens. There are many people who have had corrupted save files, lost skills/items, etc. after playing with people online who hacked their inventory/save files. Don't be ignorant, it makes you look like a 12-year-old.

And that's still disregarding ruining other peoples' fun when you're the only one doing anything due to having hacked overpowered weapons/skills, oversized inventory, etc. Unless you're playing with friends, you'll probably get kicked out of the game anyway.

and not testing something yourself but saying something about going to some other magical forum makes you look 11 AND retarded.

I have heavily edited save files and I play with friends for many hours, we have had 0 issues.

Just because you don't have issues doesn't mean other people don't either. Borderlands was made for consoles and the PC version is a crappy port, there are MANY problems with it, most of which don't affect everyone. Once again, feel free to keep arguing, but the more you try to justify cheating online, the more ignorant it makes you look. CheatHappens doesn't support online cheating, only offline, so telling people it's okay to hack your saves and use them online is not allowed, even if they weren't already proven to cause problems with other peoples' files.

For the record though, I assume it's only the host who's save file causes problems. If the host is legit, there should be no problems, and if you AND your friends are ALL hackers, it's less likely that your files would be affected since they're also hacked. There are too many variables to consider when troubleshooting these types of issues, but just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

And in any case, there is still absolutely no way to justify playing online with a hacked file if you're playing with legit players. If you've hacked your inventory to be completely over the top, your skills to be higher than the game would normally allow, or created impossible weapons, then you're ruining the gaming experience of the other players in the game. The game's difficulty is already mediocre at best, so coming into an online game with an overpowered character means that you're most likely going to be the one doing all of the looting and killing and not sharing the fun with everyone else. Of course, if you hack your files in moderation, no one's going to notice or care, and even if you DO have a fully overpowered online character, if you PLAY it in moderation, no one's likely to notice or care. But then, it goes back to the other issue, people who have corrupted save files because they happened to join an online game with someone who just couldn't deal with limited inventory space.
